Written for Sue Vincent’s photo write prompt “Blade”. Thanks for hosting Sue!! Thanks for the idea Hèléne
———
I offer up this blade, back to the god from which it came
Embark the age of which mankind’s damnation grows
From men who molten stone to steel—strike down their thoughtless brash
Enough! of the blood of mine own conjuration!
Those very holes exhumed—quarry perfect crypts or foundry tomb.
Take this medal of death—Go now and do thy deed!

Life is important, so much more than anything else. How often do we forget this, take care and enjoy it all while it is happening.
